Imported images can't be found

I figured this out but thought I would post it...might be helpful.

  1. I opened 3 images from Lr Classic to Photoshop (current versions)
  1. I edited them and used the Export As command to create a high quality JPG to be used as a print master
  2. I then imported those jpgs into my Lr Catalog and forgot Ps was even running.
  3. When I went back to Lr, they showed as my Previous Imports…
  4. But they were not able to be found in the Library module. There enclosing folder couldn’t be found either!
  5. After syncing and trying to figure it out I decided to optimize, quit, restart and realized the  original files were still open in Ps
  6. After quitting Ps they issue disappeared.

Odd, huh?

    Was there a reason you didn’t just use ‘Save’ which would automatically bring into LrC?

    Just force of habit…  I like some of the quickie choices available under Export. So, I use it often...You are right though, it probably would not have choked on the files still being open in Ps if I had Saved a Copy.
