In the Library module in the Folders section of the left hand panel click the Plus sign ( + ) and Create a new Folder on the drive you want and then Drag and Drop the images file from where they are now to that new folder.

STOP TRYING TO IMPORT A SECOND TIME.

I would be using Collections for this purpose .

Generally Not advised, and by default Lightroom prevents this.

Lightroom should only make one reference to one photo file in the Catalog.

(You can though- allow 'duplicates' in the Import dialog, but not recommended.)

And why would you want multiple copies of the same photo taking up more space in your computer?

If you are thinking of having the same photo file in a "Holiday" folder and a "Family" folder, this is better achieved by using Keywords, or Collections in Lightroom. You can add the same image to any number of Collections that you might use for different purposes.

If you want to make different edited versions of the one photo (eg. Color, & Monochrome) this is a job for creating Virtual Copies- as many Virtual Copies as you want- all referencing the one master image file.
