importing photos

I have been importing photos to lightroom classic on my macbook with no problem. Since the last update it will not import. It says importing photos and nothing happens, even when left for a long time. After cancelling it says that no photos with imported. I tried it with just one photo and in another catlog but there was no change.

@jpnc4 , your problem is you left a space, that will not work, use - or _ .

e.g. 6-7-2008-david.jpg .

Hope this works so we get some sleep.

Please show us a screen captjure of the ENTIRE Lightroom Classic Import dialog box when this happens. Please use the "Insert Photos" icon to include your screen caputre in your reply. DO NOT attach files.

Is this what you wanted? After I click import it says importing files and even if I leave it for  a long time, nothing happens. When I finally cancel it, it says that nothing was imported.

Please indicate the actual numeric numbers of your Lightroom application and for the macOS operating system. Please do not state latest or up to date.
