Importing photos back from Photoshop

When importing/sa photos back to Lightroom V.12  from Photoshop, they are imported to the verying begining of my catalog.

 

I would like to see them import back to same group I exported them from

Welcome to the Lightroom Community. Let me clarify this for you.

 

This can happen based on the sort order you have in Lightroom Classic. Check if the sort order in Lightroom Classic is set to sort by Name instead of a time-bound sort like modified or added date.

 

When Lightroom sends an image to Photoshop, a copy is saved back in Lightroom Classic with a new Added & modification date. Let me know if this helps.
