Importing selected Apple Photos images into Lightroom Classic

When I select and move images from Apple Photos (desktop version) onto my LrC icon to start the import process, the images are reduced from 3024 X 4032 pixels in Photos to 1024 X 769 in Lightroom Classic. I want to maintain full resolution. What is happening here and is there a way I can mainatin full resolution when importing Apple Photos images into LrC?

The Mac Photos App 'HIDES' you original image files if a 'folder' or cache that is not accessible to Lightroom-Classic, so you are only importing the small JPG 'Previews' created by the Photos App.
