Impossible to perform Photo Merge > Panorama (CTRL-M)

Hi all,

I'm having some issues trying to create some Panorama with LrC 13.0.1.

No matter how many photos I wanna merge, result is the same : "Error: Photo merge Error, unable to merge the photos".

Preview is always fine, no matter the projection type. But when I click on "Merge" then it starts computing (fingers crossed and eyes closed) and then, Error (damn...)

 

I used to merge a lot, but lately, it's not working anymore and I can't understand why.

 

I have a quite old desktop computer with Intel i7 2600K (told you, old), 16Go of DDR3, a lot of space on SSD HD and Ws10 Family 22H2.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 and "Use Graphic Processor" is Off.

 

All my Adobe Apps are up to date (LrC, Camera Raw)

 

Everything worked fine, until it doesn't. If anyone has the slightest idea why is that, I'd be glad to hear it, I'm kind of desperate right now 😞

    A few odd questions, the first one might relate, and I think I ran into it before. the second not so much, just a hunch, likely an unfounded hunch And I suspect, in your test of old work, this would have not occurred.

     

    Are all images in the stack the same file type?

     

    Are any of the photos in the stack, missing per LrC?

     

    Oh, and as long as I am wild guessing.

     

    Do any of the photos in the stack have a missing profiles applied? This should be ignored if so, but??

    Hi GoldinG,

     

    1- yes, all photos are Nikon D780 raw files

    2- not that I'm aware of. Every photo is "openable" separately

    3- that I don't know

    Hello. I have seen such error in the past, and it was because LrC was overloading the memory. Just one question. Why do you deactivate the GPU if you have a RTX 4060 ?

    Hi,

     

    I guess you mean "why" instead of "with" ?

    If so, it's because with "User Graphics Processor" ON, LightRooms crashed all the time (or at least, the explorer of my comptuer did). And I had to reboot each time to get things back to normal.

    If you have the gamers drivers, it is probably better to put the Studio ones. They are more stable

    I will not assume, instead I will go ahead and ask.

     

    Have you tried repeating the Photo Merge Pano on previous work? Does the error reoccur for old work?

    No i haven't tried until you asked.

    And the answer is : it doesn't work anymore with old panos I aleready did 😞
