There is a character file limit in Lightroom Classic, I am adding keywords to my filename and it's around 400-500 characters, doesn't happen often, but gave an error, with W10 supporting long file names, it's about time this limit was raised to say 1000 characters to be safe

thanks

Correct answer GoldingD

For Windows OS (answer for MACOS is different) this limit, and it is smaller than 400,  actually it is 255-260 characters, is OS driven. It has nothing to do with LrC.  Apparently you can get around that with a registry mod, no idea of you accomplish that mod if LrC will honer it. I doubt that Adobe would take a risk touching the registry outside of application entry's for Adobe, And as for MS, not a clue)

(no way will I provide a registry mod to unknown users, registry mods are dangerous, you could foul your computer up very very bad,)
