Don’t shoot the messenger, but Lightroom 6 is a ten year old product and no longer supported by Adobe.   It used to be that you could log into your account and deactivate the old computer.  When I do that, I no longer see any reference to the old Lightroom versions I had a perpetual license for.

Anything you read about De-activation or re-activation (with apps like CS5 CS6) do not apply to Lightroom 6. Lr6 is a totally separate ‘beast’. And you will not find any information or downloads in your account.

@carlPhotos In addition to @Rob_Cullen ‘s answer:  If you have reached your activation limit and you don't have any chance to deactivate an older installation you're out of luck. Adobe has stopped the support of CS 6 products and the resetting of the activation counter isn't possible anymore.
