Question

Installed LRC 12.1 yesterday and trying to use it today I keep getting "Develop (Not Responding)"

I'm using LRC v12.1 (updated yesterday) on a Windows 10 PC.

Lightroom Classic version: 12.1 [ 202212072312-d7ab524b ]
License: Creative Cloud
Language setting: en
Operating system: Windows 10 - Home Premium Edition
Version: 10.0.19045

When I try using the Develop module it keeps going to a black screen with an errore msg along the top saying "Develop (Not Responding) and then after a pause it will return to the normal screen layouts. It's happening on various file types i.e. colour and black and white, TIFF and JPEG. It was working fine before the update, is anyone else experiencing issues?

Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. Please go to Lightroom Classic > Help > System Info > Copy & paste here.

Was Lightroom working as expected before the update? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps yet? Try this:

Looking forward to hearing back from you. Thanks!

Sameer, my appoligies, the e-mail notification of your response went in to my Spam folder so I didn't see it immediately.

I've attached a PDF of my system info as requested.

LRC and Photoshop had both been working ok before I updated them so I tried rolling back the updates to version 11.0 but I was still having the same problem in both LRC and Potoshop with the Develop module not responding and in the case of Photoshop the main screen displaying the image I was working on would go black.

I've since reapplied all updates to both but the problem persisted. I followed your instructions re setting the Graphics Processor to "OFF" (it was on "AUTO") and will try using both LRC and Photoshop today to see how they perform and what if any error messages I get. I hope to provide an update soon.

Kind Regards

David

You are not using the latest driver for your Nvidia GPU. Please update to the latest version directly from the Nvidia webpage and try again.
