Installing a lens profile for a Samyang 14mm f2.8 ED AS IF UMC

I downloaded http://www.photo-worx.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=49

I edited the .lcp file and set

<stCamera:CameraRawProfile>True</stCamera:CameraRawProfile>

so it should work for my raw .DNG file

I created a folder for it, and put the Samyang14mm.lcp file in

F:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.4\Resources\LensProfiles\1.0\Samyang

and restarted LightRoom5.4

But under Lens Corrections, when I tick Enable Profile Corrections there is no Make Samyang appearing, and I cannot find the profile.

What am I doing wrong?

Does anyone have a RAW profile for the Samyang 14mm f2.8 ED AS IF UMC that works?

Correct answer ssprengel

The Lightroom/Resources folders are for Adobe-supplied lens profiles, only . LR will ignore any other profiles in there, and the profiles would be deleted when you upgrade LR.

User-supplied profiles go under your Users folder as indicated here:

Awesome, thanks for that.

One last thing, I created a folder for the profile

C:\Users\Richard\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0\Samyang\Samyang14mm.lcp

but the profile doesn't show up under Make Samyang as expected, instead it is at the bottom of Canon, with Model Samyang 14mm.

                  <stCamera:ProfileName>Canon EOS 5D Mark II - (Samyang 14mm f2.8 ED AS IF UMC)</stCamera:ProfileName>

                  <stCamera:Make>Canon</stCamera:Make>

                  <stCamera:Model>Canon EOS 5D Mark II</stCamera:Model>

                  <stCamera:Lens>Samyang 14mm f2.8 ED AS IF UMC</stCamera:Lens>

                  <stCamera:LensID>40</stCamera:LensID>

                  <stCamera:LensPrettyName>Samyang 14mm f2.8 ED AS IF UMC</stCamera:LensPrettyName>

                  <stCamera:CameraPrettyName>Canon EOS 5D Mark II</stCamera:CameraPrettyName>

I did try <stCamera:Make>Samyang</stCamera:Make>, and restarted lightroom, but that didn't alter it.

Anyone know how to make "Make: Samyang" appear?

The photo is much better now that it is profiled:

This thread was very helpful in finding a profile for the Samyang 14mm but one problem remained - how to get the profile to appear under Samyang in the available profiles list in Lightroom. It is usable in the Canon list but it does make it necessary to scroll through a great many profiles to get to it. It would also be nice to have it listed under the correct camera. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks for any help.
