Installing Lightroom and Visual C++

Question

Hi,I am just discovering Lightroom CC through videos tutorial and I have just recently decided to try it by myself as it seems very powerfull.Unfortunately, when I try to install it I have got the famous error message :"The application has failed to start because the side by side configuration is incorrect please see the application event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail"It seems that this message has something to do with Visual C++ package installed on my Windows 10 PC Desktop but I don't know exactely what to do.Many thanks for your help,Patgom145

You've posted in the forum for developers of LR plugins. If you you post in one of the main LR forums, you'll likely get help quickly.

For LR Classic 7 and 8, LR 6 and earlier, LR CC 2015 and earlier (the traditional desktop-focused LR):

Lightroom Classic CC — The desktop-focused app

For the new LR CC (the cloud-focused LR):

Lightroom CC — The cloud-based photo service

If you're not sure which one you have, do the menu command Help > System Info.
