iPhone import problem after Mac OS Tahoe 26.2 Update. Lightroom Classic doesn't recognize that there are any photos on my phone. Suggestions?

Thanks for the info! It's frustrating that Apple seems to push for folks to Optimize Storage whenever there is an update in order to have the memory on their iphone to install it. Now that I've downloaded the upgrade and returned to the "keep originals" option is there a way to access the photos that got put on to the cloud and import them into Lightroom Classic instead...

I don't use Apple iCloud for photos, so I don't know. I would think that simply turning off the 'optimize storage' option will make the phone download the originals again. That means Lightroom should now see them when you connect the phone to your computer.

Hi @MontoyaCat, thanks for reaching out.

Could you let us know which version of Lightroom Classic you are using and how you are trying to import the photos from your phone? As a first step it can help to check that Lightroom Classic has full disk access. You can follow the steps here: https://adobe.ly/49xF8u9
Thanks so much.

Hello @Aleke,

I have been using Lightroom Classic version 15.1 with no problems until the recent MacOS update. This morning I updated Lightroom Classic to version 15.1.1, but that didn't solve my problem. I import my photos by using a cable to connect my iphone to my imac and pushing the import button in Lightroom Classic.
