Irrational drag&drop issue Lightroom Classic

For some reason I sometimes cannot drag&drop files from explorer to LR Classic. Manually importing through "import" function does work and usually once I've imported a photo that way, drag&drop seems to be working again.

This pretty much has happened with every new catalog that I've made in LR Classic. I've never had this problem with any of the other LR versions in the past.

Suggestions anyone?

Finally found an easy workaround - when clicking the "Import" button (bottom-left) it will allow me to drag and drop. Once I've done this once in a new catalog, drag and drop works fine again in library mode.

Try resetting the Preferences.....

You may be running LR 7 (Classic) as administrator, which prevents drag-and-drop from working. See here for details: Re: Importieren von spezifischen Dateitypen
