Question

Is it possible to configure Lightroom to auto save edits to the source file?

Would prefer to save edits to the original file instead of having to export the changes to a new file. Is this possible?

Lightroom or Lightroom Classic? What version NUMBER? (We need the version NUMBER and not words like "latest" or "up-to-date")

Do you mean you want the original photo file to have its pixels modified based upon your edits? No, this can't be done, this is not a feature of Lightroom or Lightroom Classic.

Do you mean write the edits (as text) to the original photo file? Is this photo file RAW, DNG, JPG, TIF, other?

Lightroom Classic 15.1, and yes modify pixels in the original based on my edits. Source files are .JPG.

Thanks for replying.....

LrC does not modify pixels in your original image, this is how it was designed. There is no option to change this.
