Is it safe to eject my memory card while only converting to .dng during importation?

    Correct answer F. McLion

As Gary already said, I’d definitely wait until LrC tells you that the import and all related processes are finished. Even if already at the converting stage, you do not know if it wants to see the card again at the end to do … whatever.

    Hi, @Precious_Songbird5C7D, interesting question.

Having used LRC since it came out, my gut feeling is probably not. I’ve always considered these as “me” times. That is, time to get a cup of coffee, check email, or anything that can pull be away from the computer for the few minutes that processes like this can take place. Remember, a watch pot never boils. So, the more you watch the process, the longer (it seems) to take.

On the other hand, if you want to load up your card with a bunch of irrelavant photos that you can afford to lose if this doesn’t work, and see what happens, let us know.

    Good luck!
