Is there a way to do an automatic stack of images with the same name?

hi,

I'm looking for a method/way/help to have lightroom automatically stack images with the same name (basename) but with a different extensions.

For example I have in the same directory, a file called IMG_1234.CR2 and IMG_1234.DNG. How could have LR automatically stack them.

It's painful to manually stack them, is there in the SDK a function I can call to force the stacking of two images.

You can't change stacking order for photos already in the catalog, and you can't remove photos from the catalog, but if you manually remove them, then a plugin could stack them like you want.
