Issues using Lightroom Classic on macOS Golden Gate 27.2 Beta

I’m running the latest Lightroom Classic (15.5.1) and am on a Mac mini (and a MacBook Air M4) running Golden Gate 27.2 Beta code.

On both computers, Lightroom Classic crashes almost immediately upon starting an AI task. Like starting Denoise or using the the generative Remove tool.

Anyone else having this issue? Hope Adobe is aware and working on a fix, assuming it’s not something else that’s causing the issues…

Hey All! As @johnrellis correctly shared, using a Beta operating system limits support options. I've let the team know about this for now. For now, it may be ideal to stay on Public release or wait for the next public beta from Apple.

It's not a good idea to run beta versions in a production environment. It seems Lightroom isn’t compatible with the new Apple OS. Revert to the recent release version of MacOS.

I’m afraid I can’t just go back to the last version. Lightroom still worked until I installed the latest lightroom update.

You can easily go back to previous versions of Lightroom Classic.

In the Creative Cloud app where Lightroom Classic is listed, click on the dots in the upper corner to see choices of previous versions.

I simply tried to denoise a photo, and Lightroom Classic crashed. I also tried to apply denoise through a preset, and it crashed then too. I have an M4 MacBook Pro running iOS 27.2 Beta.

Ok, it definitely sounds like a 27.2 issue. Someone else confirmed that they see the same behavior…

Anyone from Adobe read these forums? Just wondering if a fix is being worked… Of course it’s possible that this needs to be fixed on the Apple end. Hope y’all are working something out...
