Issues with Generative Removal in v13.4?

Hi all

I was bowled over when Generative Removal came to LrC.  In the previous release I was able to unwanted remove people and objects from my images with absolute ease.  Since I updated to 13.4 however I have not been able to sucessfully remove a single person or object from any of my new pictures.

Has anyone had the same issue?

Many thanks

@grjlynch, see this article for how to remove objects more reliably:
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/generative-remove-replace/

Most complaints about Remove are addressed in the article. But if it doesn't help, please attach a full-resolution JPEG exported from the unmodified original photo, so we and Adobe can see the issue in detail. With nearly everyone who has posted a problem photo, we've been able to show how to remove the desired objects.

No issues on my Mac. If you want to find an explanation, then start by telling us your computer specs and the MacOS version you run.

Thanks Johna

I am running Mac O/S Sonoma 14.5 on a Mac Studio Max M1 with 64GB RAM and I have a 100 Mb/s connection and my Mac is coonected to the router via ethernet not WiFi.  So it should be plenty powerful enough, especially when the AI tool was released I had no issues at all on the same kit.  Hope this helps

Well, I have a 16" MBP with M1 Max and Sonoma 14.5, so a very similar machine. I have no issues with the Remove tool, although I normally do not use the object recognition. Is it just the recognition that fails, or does the remove tool itself fail to remove what is selected? It is important to select everything of the person or object, including its shadow for example. If you leave the shadow, then generative remove will generate something to match that shadow, meaning it will often generate a new person or similar object!
