Hi, i have trying to use denoise on my sony arw raw files. they are true raw files but but i cannot denoise them. it keeps coming up with an error message. the error message says failed to apply adjustments to following images. i have a macbook pro m3 pro on macintosh tahoe 26.1 and i have no option to use my gpu acceleration on anything. it says system is incompatible which kind of makes no sense to me as the gpu is fairly powerful

    @Tirth Patel,

I was able to denoise your sample raws on my LR 15.3 / Macbook Pro (2023, M2 Max) / Mac OS 26.4.1.

    Init State: GPU Unsupported

    1. Try deleting the file "Camera Raw GPU Config.txt" as detailed here:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.html#solution-3

That will cause LR to reevaluate the capabilities of your GPU.

    2. Then delete any TempDisableGPU2 and TempDisableGPU3 files:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/acr-gpu-faq.html#6CheckanddeletetheTempDisableGPU3orTempDisableGPU2files

    3. After doing that, restart LR. Then go to Preferences > Performance to verify that Use Graphics Processor is set to Auto. If you see any kind of "unsupported" message, please post a full-resolution screenshot (not a phone pic) of the Preferences window.

@JohanElzenga ...same thing with raw files of the Sony A7R V on my MacBook Pro M1 Max running MacOS Tahoe 26.5.

I just tried Denoise on 3 sample Sony a7R V raws on my Macbook Pro M2 Max / Mac OS 26.4.1 and didn’t encounter any problems.  I’m going to hold off on updating to Mac OS 26.5 until this issue gets clearer (e.g. perhaps its a bug introduced in the GPU drivers for 26.5, though likely not since @Tirth Patel is on 26.1).

Hi @Tirth Patel, we’re sorry about the trouble.

Please go to the Help menu in Lightroom, then System Info, and copy the text. You can share the info with us by either pasting it as a reply here or in a text file and sharing the file with us.

Is it possible for you to share a couple of Raw files that you’re experiencing issues with so that we can test the issues at our end?

    Thanks,

    Nikunj

Hi I have attached the system info file, aswell as some raw files aswell. Unfortunately couldn't attach more as files are too large. The camera used was Sony A7 IV. I also have a Sony A7 RV and I notice the same issue with it aswell

Thanks for sharing the sample files, and the system info. I could Denoise the added images in my tests.

Please follow the steps I’ve shared here and let me know how it goes:

    Thanks!

I just experienced the same thing with raw files of the Sony A7R V on my MacBook Pro M1 Max running MacOS Tahoe 26.5. I have no idea why this happens. Lightroom Classic can make any other edits on these images. I tried in the local mode of Lightroom (not Classic) and got the same problem. I can simply not enable the Denoise checkbox...
