Jpeg metadata in jpeg+raw pairs

Will Lightroom Classic read the metadata that I have added to the jpegs of my jpeg+raw pairs of images?

I don't own Lightroom yet. I shoot jpeg+raw. I have added keywords and star ratings to many of my jpegs. If I decide to get Lightroom Classic it would be nice if it would read this information from the jpegs and associate it with the raws.

Building on dj_pagie's reply, you'll need to check the option Preferences > General Treat JPEG Files Next To Raw Files as Separate Photos, so that the JPEGs will be visible within the LR catalog.  You optionally stack the JPEG/raw pairs after import using the Photo > Stacking > Auto Stack command.

I believe you will need a plug-in to do this. Please see the Syncomatic plugin from John Beardsworth.

Thank you John, I may try that before going down the plugin route
