Just updated to Lightroom Classic 13.3 and its a NIGHTMARE

Hi! I updated my lightroom and woah, its been terrible. First, my editing slowed waaaaaay down. every single tool I used, the screen would freeze, the little pin wheel popped up and started spinning. my workflow pretty much destroyed. I deleted LR, and reinstalled it. did all the things, finally called support. They took over the controls of my computer and we came to conclude that the catalog was "no good" so I started a new one. I just imported my photos from tonight and guess what, same issues. The tools are incredibly slow and not responsive, not to mention the masks are really messed up. When I click select subject, it selects everything, its not detecing the subject, sky or background! I don't really know what to do here, anyone else having issues with the newest LR update ??? 

The attached photos are "select subject" clearly the entire photo is chosen. When I compare it to select background, the opacity is slightly more than when I select subject, but either way the entire photo is chosen. PLEASE HELP
