Keeping needing to sign in to sync

I haven't seen a pattern yet, but I start LR and add some photos and notice they are not syncing.  I check and see I need to sign in again.  Isn't is supposed to always stay signed in?

    I just did a quick check.  I had started LR and I was not signed in, so I signed in.  I then quit LR and clicked to skip the backup.  I started LR again and I was not signed in, so I tend to wonder if it is now required to always sign in every time LR is started.

    I did more searching and found someone else with the problem and in their post they mentioned the Creative Cloud desktop app.

    I found I was not logged into the Creative Cloud desktop app, so I signed in there.  Next I started LR and this time LR is signed in to sync.  So my assumption is the desktop CC app needs to be signed in.
