Keeps dropping files

Lightroom Classic keeps dropping files and is only allowing me to recall them one by one. The photos are on my Mac. Why does this keep happening? How can I recover with out recalling them one by one.

What do you mean by "dropping"? What is your workflow? How are you importing photos? Where is your catalog stored?

Please provide us with as much information as you can. Screen captures would be helpful too.
