Keyboard shortcuts don't work in Reference view

When I’m in Develop module, and I have Split View (R / A ) in Reference view. The Develop keyboard shortcuts aren’t active. So if I press ], instead of making brush bigger, LR will add stars to the picture I’m trying to work on. It’s incredibly annoying.

    That’s not happening in my LR 15.3 / Mac OS 26.4.1. As next troubleshooting steps:

     

    1. Please do the LR menu command Help > System Info, click the Copy button in the upper right corner, and paste into your reply here, so we can see exactly which versions of hardware and software LR thinks you're running and important LR options that are set.

     

    2. First, restart your computer. If the problem persists, try resetting LR's preferences:

    LR sometimes soils its preferences file, and resetting it can fix all sorts of wonky behavior. That article explains how to restore the old preferences if resetting doesn't help.

    It persists. It’s a particularly nasty one because it’s not 100% reproducible. I’ve been using LR since the 2010s...It’s there for me on Windows in the past and now macOS since as long as I can remember.

    Unless we can come up with a recipe that allows Adobe to reproduce the problem, they’re not going to pay any attention, unfortunately.
