Keyword Issue - one keyword problem

Greetings all

I am using Lightroom Classic CC on a desktop system with Windows 8.2.

I started with PE Elements years ago, then purchased Lightroom and have been using Lightroom CC since it was announced. So my catalog has keywords that were created in earlier versions.

My current catalog has 18,112 images most having keywords assigned.

Most of the keywords do appear for the appropriate assigned images. I can search on given keyword and find accurate image result.

There appears to be one keyword that is assigned to 350 images that appears to be a problem. When I click on an image that has that keyword assigned to it, the keyword display box displays the message "working..." I know that there are around 1000 images that have this keyword but LR does not find all of those images.

If I re-enter keywords again for that image, they are replaced by the message "working..."

Any suggestions on how to correct this matter?

Thank you all for your consideration.

John

Thank you for these suggestions. Optimizing the Catalog and changing the Preference file had no impact.

When an image displays the "working..." message in the keyword box, it will not accept new keywords being input there. However, if you click on the tag icon in the lower right hand corner of the image first, you can then enter keywords for that image.

Another person has reported "working..." in the Keywording panel: Adobe LR Classic CC; Keywords not loading | Photoshop Family Customer Community . Please add details of your issue and click Me Too on that bug report, which will make it a little more likely Adobe will take a look at it.

There is one possible workaround identified so far: Adobe LR Classic CC; Keywords not loading | Photoshop Family Customer Community

Thank you for your follow up. Let me add explanation.

The list of keywords shows that there are 362 images that have the Keyword "Mike" as shown below. But I know that there are many more images that should have this same keyword because that person, Mike, is often in the same images as his wife and the keyword list shows that there are more than 600 images with her name.

My problem is not how to find images using a keyword.

1) My problem is that some of the images (images not included in the 362) that should have the keyword Mike do not display any keywords when I look at an image that has Mike in it. Instead these images display "working..." as if the software is trying to determine what keywords to display.

2) If I try to assign the keyword Mike  to an image that shows the "working..." message, it ignores the new keywords, never displays the original keywords and reverts to displaying the "working..." message.

3) The "working..." message continues to be displayed if I leave that image up any length of time

Is there any way I can get keywords to display for these images?

I haven't run into this particular issue, so I will make a few guesses

I am having a lot of difficulty understanding this paragraph. At one point you say 350 but later you say "around 1000". If you click on an image that has a keyword ... this won't find other images with the same keyword. So please explain this part again, with more details, and screen captures if possible.
