Keywords unwanted changes

While importing a new photo/file, I used keywords. Those keywords have replaced the keywords on all the photos in the catalog. So, as a trial, I edited exisitng photos with keyword updates, and the same thing happened, all photos in the catalog had the keyword change. What a mess. My suspicion is Win 10 is the culprit, but I have know way of knowing. This is LR 5.7.1.

I have never had this happen while importing and assigning a keyword to the imported images.

The only thing that comes to mind is you somehow selected All of your images while setting a keyword.

More likely than that Win 10 is the culprit. I have never heard of this problem either, and somehow I don't think you are the only person in the world who uses Lightroom 5.7.1 and Windows 10. If this was a problem of that combination, then there would have been multiple reports already.

Are you in Loupe view when this happens? If so, check that you haven't set 'Auto Sync'.
