Hi There, I need help.  LCR is not exporing 300PPI. Im exporting like I normally do and have 300PPI in the resolution but its only exporing 96PPI. Why is it not exporting correctly?

With the caveat that this metadata field is usually meaningless as others indicated, if you don't export metadata, it might not get written to the file in some circumstances. So show us your export settings.

@Sara33434517vzr8 , my thoughts are ppi (pixels per inch) is relavent if you are creating an image to print at a specific size. So looking at your screen capture the pixel settings you have chosen will create a print size of 9.52 inches by 7.8 inches @ 300 ppi.

If you wish a print of 10 in x 8 in to print at 300 ppi then choose 3000 pixels by 2400 pixels.

How do you check that? For the vast majority of uses, PPI has no meaning. That means that an app could report (or give the impression) that the resolution is 96 ppi, simply because that is a kind of (very old) 'standard' resolution when viewed on screen. In reality that app does not read the real ppi value from the metadata, because that value is irrelevant when an image is displayed on a screen.

Most of the time, setting the PPI in the Lightroom Classic export box has no impact if you also select a dimension in pixels; which by the way is as it should be, that is the correct thing for LrC to do.

The only time setting 300ppi has an impact is if you specify the export should have a length and width in inches (or centimeters). If you set the export to dimensions in pixels, the 300 PPI is meaningless, and has no impact; and LrC is doing the right thing.

So, are you exporting with the Image Sizing section set to inches (or centimeters), or is it set to pixels?
