Lens Blur module is slow

Question

This is not really a new thing.  I noticed it when it was first introduced.  I thought maybe it would get better over time, but doesn't seem to be the case.  The Lens Blur module is useful to me sometimes, but I've found that it's very, very slow and laggy.  Any way to improve this, or is that just how it is?  My PC isn't the most modern, but it's got decent specs.  Win10 64, 32GB RAM, RTX2070 card with 8GB VRAM.

LR's AI commands use the GPU intensively, and Denoise and Lens Blur are the most intensive.

The RTX 2070 is fairly old in GPU-years (released in 2018), and newer GPUs are much faster. Here are the Passmark Direct Compute scores for some sample Nvidia GPUs:

My Macbook Pro (2023 M2 Max) was the fastest, at 17 seconds, while an RTX 2060 was three times slower, at 42 seconds. My Macbook takes about 4 secs to apply Lens Blur to a sample 40 megapixel raw, so we might expect an RTX 2070 to take about 10-12 secs. How long does it actually take on your computer?
