Lens profile Viltrox 40mm

I noticed that the lens profile for Viltrox 40mm Sony FE has right vignetting correction, but the geometry is off - it is causing pincushion distortion.

Did I something wrong (no manual lens adjustment, just automatic setting)? There is very low distortion without profile turned on.

-> file (screenshot) without_correction contains a shot without lens correction profile. file with_correction has the lens profile correction active. i assume the difference is quite visible.

-> the same issue is demonstrated for the Nikon version of this lens in a video one year old (?):
