LENS PROFILES IN LIGHTROOM CLASSIC CC

Hi, First off if this is covered elsewhere please point me in that direction.

I have 4 lenses that I regularly use when out on a shoot and one import can have multiple lenses used. I am trying to find out if its possible for LR to apply lens profile corrections for the lens used per shot, automatically by LR, when importing the pictures into LR. I have tried a number of "press this, press that" instructions off the net but do not get the SET DEFAULT button (replacing RESET) when pressing alt. Even so I do not want one lens as default I would like it to select the correct lens for each shot.

Regards

Andrew

Without you stating which camera you are using and the actual lens names, f stops, FL, it hard to tell you what is going on.

99% of all Mirrorless cameras include the lens corrections into the RAW files they produce and if you are only saving as JPGs those factory corrections are Burnt Into the JPG files.

So what camera, make and model, and what lenses.

He says that the Lens Corrections panel does show profiles for the four lenses, so mirrorless or shooting in jpeg is not the issue here. This issue is just how to check the options automatically on import.

What version of Lightroom Classic are you using? Camera defaults have changed in Lightroom Classic 9.2, so that button no longer works. You now have to create a preset, and then select that preset as the camera default in the preferences. If you select 'Lens Profile Corrections' in the preset, then Lightroom will automatically match the profile and the lens.

Thanks for your reply Johan, much appreciated.

I am a monthly subscriber for LR and PS and am running version 9.2 of LR Classic CC. I will look at creating the presets for the 4 lenses I have and trust that LR will choose the correct one per shot.

Hi Johan, I have just checked and the 4 lenses I have are shown in the supported lens list within Lightroom. My issue is how do I get Lightroom to apply the REMOVE CHROMATIC ABBERATION and ENABLE PROFILE CORRECTIONS automatically, per lens, during import.
