Library (Grid) -> Print module resets selection

Version of the app and system

Lightroom Classic version: 12.4 [ 202306052221-b70c0975 ]
Operating system: Windows 10 - Home Premium Edition
Version: 10.0.22621
App & Sys architecture: x64

 

 

Basic steps to reproduce the problem

(PNN = possibly not neccessary)

1. Have a LR catalogue with photos in multiple sibling directories (PNN)

2. Open Library in Grid mode

3. Select multiple sibling directories in Folders panel (PNN)

4. Select multiple photos - using shift key to select "range" and start the range NOT with the first photo (PNN)

5. Switch to print module using Ctrl+P (PNN)

6. The selection disappears and the first photo is selected.

 

The expected result is to preserve the selection.

 

It doesn't happen every time for me.

And it looks like moving forward / backward inside the selection (using arrow keys for example) before switching to Print module removes the issue.

    I cannot reproduce your problem using your basic steps-  *When the Print module is set to [Selected Photos] prior to going to the Print module.

    I select multiple Folders, 205 images, I select 6 photos , [Ctrl+P], and the selected  6 photos remain selected and advance on screen with the Arrow keys in the Print module (205 images on the Filmstrip).

    Have you tried the, often suggested, Preferences Reset, and a cold boot restart? It often fixes these type of glitches. PREFERENCES RESET 

    I cannot think of anything else to suggest. (Re-install?)

    As I said. It doesn't happen every time. My steps are the steps that I followed when it happened to me the most.

    Do you have the [Selected Photos] option checked?

    I see the same 'problem?' as you with the [All Filmstrip Photos] option chosen.

    Yes, I have the "Selected Photos" selected. But it should not matter, the selection shouldn't change no matter the settings.
