Lighroom Classic and Contrast Slider on Import

I recently experimente with B/W photography. Thus I have set the camera to produce B/W previews with high contrast and clarity. After the import, I noticed that the contrast slider is way higher than it usually is. I have a preset applied, but it does not change the development settings, only camera corrections and default sharpening and denoising. Investigating a bit more, I found that Lightroom does often change the contrast slider to some value by its choice, also without the B/W setting in camera.

So, the question is: When would Lightroom set a contrast value? Is that part of the default Adobe profile or what?

Slider settings are not part of a profile, but some cameras embed settings in their EXIF data that Lightroom will read and apply if you use camera settings as the camera default.

That must be the case here. It is not a big deal, because you can change it anytime.
