using IOS Monterey , & lightroom classic (latest version 12.2) stitching 4 images (hi res from Olympus OM1) . on the resulting DNG file noticable pale grid pattern ois visible in the resulting image , this hasnt been saved to Jpeg at any stage . it becomes more noticable when the image is converted to B&W. the resultant file is 346MB and is un resized . it is more noticbale in clouds & low contrast parts of the image ie clouds , shade in the image . saved as 8 bit tiff. 2 images shown full & close up.

thanks in advance ,Dave

if the olympus hi res feature is comparable to the sony pixel shift resolution enhancement, it may be necessary to process the captured raw images first. afaik the captured raws aren't directly usable in the full desired quality without this pre-processing. i'm suspicious about such a sensor-based issue as the artifacts in your panorama may point in this direction. i don't know any details about the olympus hi-res format as i'm a sony and canon guy.

@David Leslie0D4D , Just to be clear you experience this issue with hi-res raw files from Olympus OM 1 camera. Have you tested the regular Olympus OM1 raw .ORF image files to see if you experience the same issue.
Also could you provide, more info on the procedure you use to capture the images used. e.g hand held or using a tripod, lens used with same aperture and zoom?

Do you see these artifacts when you do Photo > Edit In > Merge To Panorama In Photoshop?

Yes . They become more manifest when dehazing & clarity , I usually run the image through Topaz AI first , but they’re present before that .
Thanks

Do you see the same artifacts if you apply the same edits to a single, unmerged photo?
