Hi,

I have just installed Lightroom 6.14 standalone after some time of not using it.

It is reporting:

The serial number xxxx is already in use by the maximum allowed computers. You need to deactivate another computer within 30 days to use this product.

(o) Retry activation. I have already deactivate one of my other computers.

( ) Provide a different serial number

I don't have access to the old computer (or perhaps it was discarded old installation on this computer, don't know anymore). I did not know I need to deactivate old installations, so this has caught me off guard now.

This page

https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/error-activation-limit-reached-sign.html

says have your serial ready (I do) and contact us.

But there's no way how to reach support nowadays! I have spent 20 minutes looking for a way how to reach out to support. Even this:

https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/what-contact-options.html

confirms there's no way for me to reach support.

This brings some serious level of frustration - it was purchased as perpetual license and now some new articial limitations are imposed on it.

There should be a Chat box on bottom right corner of this linked page https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/error-activation-limit-reached-sign.html. I suggest giving it a try.

I should have mentioned that you may need to click on the chat symbol above 'Was this page helpful?

Thanks, Ian. That was it. Just info for others, 1st level support might say the product is not supported anymore and licensing servers have been decomissioned already. But then they might reconnect you to the technical support and those people know this problem and can reset it somehow...

Thanks!
