Lightrom, what's happening???

I updated my LR to the latest version and tbh I am thinking about hanging the platform to edit photos. What did you do with the Lightroom? It's impossible to edit photos - it's SOOOOO SLOW that editing 1000 photos from the wedding takes ages. Can you fix it????

What version of Lightroom are you actually on? There are two main versions. One is called Lightroom Classic and is what people commonly refer to as just Lightroom. The other is called Lightroom Desktop and (contrary to the name) is cloud based. SO this always causes confusion as it really makes a huge difference in figuring out why things are slow. The cloudy version stores all your images in the cloud and uploading images can take a long time. The Classic version can sometimes be slow because it is indexing all your images for faces for example.

It's Adobe Lightroom Classic, the newest version. It was sometimes slow but not as slow as it is at this moment - waiting a few seconds until one photo will upload and be ready to edit (before it's grainy and scrolling between to check which one to remove - the last culling. I am not that stupid to do the whole culling through LR Classic, I just do the final selection from time to time), sometimes it takes around one minute to go to the next photo.

One minute? That is really extreme. What kind of internal hard disk do you have and how much free space do you have on that? You need a good amount of available space on the internal SSD. Classic should be more than fast enough to do initial culling on it just fine but you don't want to cull in the develop module. Fastest way to cull is to import using embedded previews (make sure "replace embedded previews with standard previews during idle time" is turned off in preferences->General) in Library without touching develop. You'll be able to zoom 1:1 super fast there because of the embedded previews and it won't try to generate a new preview.
