Lightroo stand alone won't open anymoe

I have been using the stand alone product for quite some time. Noe it won't open without signing in. The sign in doesn't recognize my pass word or the old lightroom serial number. Ha s adobe stolen my property?

    Apparently Adobe inadvertently cancelled my license which was purchased 4 years ago They are supposed to get back to me. What a huge screw up. Thanks anyway

    One point first: Adobe doesn't steal anything from anyone.

    You don't have answer Tony's questions. Which Lightroom version and which operating system do you use?

    Even a permanent license must regularly connect to the internet to check the validity. and for this check you have to sign in.

    if you have a Adobe ID and you can't remember your password you can click on "Forgot password?" on the sign in - screen.

    If this doesn't work and you have regularly a license you have to connect the Adobe support.
