Lightroom 10 exceedingly slow now

anyone experiencing a terrible performance hit with the latest Lightroom update? it takes upto 3-5 seconnds just to show a photo at full screen

editing is slow and at what cost to peroformance? Can this update be worth the pain?

There is a thread about this on the Adobe feedback forum where Adobe employees participate. You will see others posting there about the same issue.

I have upgraded to V10 on my MBP 2019 16" and two PCs with no issues at all.
