Lightroom 5.7.1 Long White Bar.

Just transferred all my stuff from an old iMac onto a new one.   Everything seems to be ok except on Library and Develop module, which I select the photo I want to work on there is a long white bar running along the full length of the top of the picture on about 20% of the image.

What have I done wrong ??

Correct answer Jim Wilde

You have the Info Overlay showing, and when running the obsolete LR5.7.1 on more modern operating systems produces that long white bar. As this is an issue which will never be fixed (Adobe stopped support of LR5 back in 2015) the only solution is to turn off the overlay. Press the "I" key once or twice to clear the display.

Thanks Jim.  That has cleared it.  There is still a very small white box in the top right of the screen but I can live with that .

Many Thanks
