Lightroom 5.7.1 on my Macbook Pro Catalina 10.15.1 No Develop must renew membership

I don't understand since I own Lightroom 5.7.1 when it said; "Develop Module is disabled. Please renew your membership to reactivate the Develop Module." Which membership? My Adobe LR and PS CC are current and in place.

Thanks,

Chuck

First I'm not sure if LR 5.x.x will run on Catalina, "PROPERLY", or if it would install at all.

I'm guessing at one time you did have a subscription to the Photographers plan and have since canceled it or did a trial of a newer version  of LR and had to install the CC Desktop app.

The problem comes from having the CC DTA installed as when the subscription plans started LR 5.x.x was part of that system. So even though you have a perpetual license for LR 5 it got tied to whatever subscription plan you had, trial or paid for plan.

See if this helps.

Thanks for the reply! I’ve been on the Lightroom Classic CC plan for a few years on my PC and MacBook Pro, with LR 5.7.1 installed and running, in fact still running fine on the PC. That being the case, the answer to the issue I believe goes to the recent installation of Catalina on the MacBook Pro.

Thanks again for the response,

Chuck
