Lightroom 5.7 license key problems in High Sierra

I purchased a LR 5 license in 204 and was using it successfully on my MBP until recently when I upgraded to High Sierra. Upon installing LR 5.7 and trying my license key, I get a "Your license key isn't valid" error. Has anyone seen this? I'm not using a crack or a fake key or anything.

There are bunch of possible causes here, when you get that message

    • You aren't using the proper serial number, you need to confirm you have the right serial number by going to Adobe.com, signing in and going to "Manage my Adobe ID Account" Find your serial number
    • You have accidentally tried to use the serial number of some version of Lightroom that it can't be used with (for example, you are using LR 6 but your serial number is for LR 5, or vice versa)
    • You have run into some previously unknown (to me) bug with regards to High Sierra (there are other bugs running High Sierra with LR 5 that have been reported)
    • perhaps something else

Base don your input I checked on the adobe site.

    1. I do have the right serial number. Here's a screen shot of the product.

    2. I might have used this on a different version because I remember finding it really hard to download V5.x. What should I do if that's the case? Is my serial number blocked? Can I unblock it somehow? I have V5.7.1 now, so that's the right version.

Your serial number should not be blocked, Adobe doesn't do that. You are confirming that this is LR 5.7.1?

Show us a screen capture indicating it is indeed 5.7.1, or the name of the download file you used.

Show us a screen capture of the error message when you try to apply your serial number.

Also, you might want to try restarting your computer.
