Lightroom 5 doers not start

Question

After having re-installed the old program, which is absulentely sufficient for me, following error code shows up when starting the software...

Uninstall and reinstall the product. If the problem occurs again, contact Adobe Technical Support quoting the error code listed at the bottom of the screen. Error: 5

Tried this several times. no success while ADOBE Support seems to be the users 🙂

Lightroom 5.x was released in 2013 and whilst it may meet your needs, it's no longer supported by Adobe. This means that you're largely dependant on other users for help and assistance. Unfortunately, in the absence of information such as the model of Mac and macOS you're using, then providing such help and assistance is tad difficult.
