Lightroom 6.14 fails to open after migrating to a New Mac

Lightroom 6.14 (perpetual) fails to open after migrating from OS10.11.6 (latest el Capitan) to OS Ventura 13.2. Initially the message " Adobe Lightroom is damaged and cannot be opened"  appeared. Now it says  "Adobe application manager required to start you trial, is missing or damaged. Please download a new copy of Adobe Application manager from ...".  I have downloaded a new version of creative cloud (which is supposed to include the AAM, and the problem persists.

Can anyone help? Is there a solution?

Thank you!

I don't believe you can get Lr 6.xx to run on Ventura. Depending on your Mac, you may be able to install an earlier version of the OS on an external drive, and install Lr 6 in that operating system, but even there, not all Macs allow this.

You can upgrade by subscribing to the Adobe Photography Plan (confusingly, not the Lightroom Plan) and then you can use the current Lightroom Classic 12.1 to continue to make use of all of your work in the Lr 6 catalog.
