Lightroom 6 64 bit?

Hi I installed LR6 on my windows 10 PC without a problem. However the hard disc failed and I have had it replaced with a solid state one. When I try and install now it says I need a 64 bit system. If it worked before why not now? I'm not clear of the difference between 32 and 64 bit to be honest but this is a mystery!

You must have a 64bit version of Windows 10. You can find out what version you have from Control Panel/System next to System Type. It is possible that when you had the hard disk replaced, the new installation of Windows was 32 bit instead of 64bit.

Also, please quote the exact unedited word-for-word error message that you are getting.

Thanks, you have answered the question perfectly! My 64 bit system was replaced with 32 bit so I'm going to get it re-done.
