Lightroom 6 License Issues

Question

My dad has two licenses for Lightroom 6 on his adobe account, one for him and one for me. It has been working fine for us, him using his license on his computer and me using mine on my computer. Now I just bought a new computer and want to use my lightroom on the new computer but we can't figure out how to transfer it. I downloaded a testversion of lightroom cc and then I was going to log in to my account and upgrade the free license to mine. Just as I had it on my old computer. But it doesn't work. It just says that the serial number is already in use.

So my question is how do I transfer my lightroom 6 license on my dads account to my account?

login to account.adobe.com and see if there are other computers activated.

You say your dad has two licenses, but it sounds like you are both using the same single license (one license can be used on two computers). That means you must deactivate Lightroom on your old computer before you can use it on the new one, because your new computer would be the third copy.
