Lightroom 7.0.1 is not responsive and gives black screens

After updating to the latest version of Lightroom CC Classic, Lightroom is lagging a lot to the point that it becomes impossible to work. Exporting pictures takes forever and while I am working, the screen turns black for a second or sometimes a bit longer. Can anyone help me solve these issues? I tried turning off the gpu acceleration but it gave no result

Since the latest update of Lightroom, I also have noticed the following: zooming in and out is very slow, as well as panning. Also applying a change to shadows or lights, takes 15-20 seconds and therefore it is difficult to see the actual change. Exporting pictures has become also very slow. Basically the overall performance of Lightroom since the latest update has dropped to unworkable levels. Before the update, everything was instant.

I am using windows 10 and my hardware is 16 GB RAM, nvidia geforce gtx 1060, intel core i7-7700HQ, 1 TB SSD
