Lightroom 7.3 crashing lots

Has anyone else experienced LR 7.3 crashing? I've had LR since version 4 and it has been pretty stable all along. Since the April update to 7.3 it is now crashing many times during an export or just randomly when i'm not using it. I come back to LR and get the spinning circle and a not-responding message. After I restart, it's fine. This is on Windows 10 and I have the latest ACR 10.3 as well.

Having the same issue. Crashes so often, it is unusable.

Have disabled GPU use - no change. Still crashes very frequently.

Tried running as administrator - no change either.

Have uninstalled/reinstalled many times - no change.

Have sent dozens > 20 crash reports to Adobe - no response.

Can't work.

Now looking at Lightroom alternatives.

Have you tried to go back to LR 7.2?

Which operating system do you use?

Tried going back to 7.2 - crashes too. Also tried complete uninstall/cleanup/reinstall - no joy.

On Win 10 Home.

Capture One works fine as does ACDSee. Both using catalog imported from LR.

It’s something Adobe-specific.

One user has reported that running Lightroom 7.3 as an administrator has fixed the problem for him. Right-click on Lightroom and then select Run as Administrator.

The first point you can try is to deactivate the GPU support and then test again.
