Lightroom 9.0 Crash Report

Please help me guys. My creative life has come to a standstill since Lightroom Classic CC crashed on me with no explanation on Sunday evening.

 

I updated to version 9.0, upgraded my catalogue as prompted and everything worked perfectly.. Until I decided to close the program and reopen later that evening. This is when the crash reports started. Everytime I double clicked the icon, the loading screen would appear as normal, and then the 'Crash Report' screen would appear & the program would close.

 

Things I have tried already:

- Resorting back to an older version of Lightroom.

- Ensuring Windows is completely up to date.

- Deleting the LightroomCatalog.lrcat.lock file in Documents.

- Deleting the Lightroom Preferences file in the hope that it would automatically create new ones and resolve the problem. (It has created the new file but still the issue remains)

 

I've logged the issue with Adobe but I'm sure you guys can respond quicker than that...

Hi there,

 

We are sorry about the issue you are facing with Lightroom Classic 9.0.

 

Would you mind sharing the version of Windows you are working on and information about the Graphics card you have on the computer?

You can try to update the Graphic drivers for the Graphics card you have from the manufacturers website to check if that helps.

 

Also, please go to the Event Viewer for Windows, then navigate to Windows logs > Application and check if you see any errors reported there for Lightroom Classic.

Hi Nikunj,

 

Thanks for your response. I am currently running Windows 10 on my system, with an AMD Radeon R7 graphics card. I have just updated the driver for the card to the latest version but still the same crash.

 

I have also checked in the Event Viewer and I can see no errors reported for Lightroom Classic.

Lightroom Classic 9.0 doesn't crash. Rather it constantly blinks, for lack of a better word.  I do have errors in event viewer.  Errors for the ESENT, Tilerrepository Product Engage, and Photoshop error. I didn't see a Lightroom error.  It has slowed down tremendously.
