The same thing just happened to me and I managed to fix the problem! Head over to your publish services toolbar on the left hand side of the screen and right click on the instagram plugin then click on ‘edit settings’ from there just log out and then back into your account and it should work! Hope this helps

Log out and log back in fixed the issue.

Hi jonathanb,

If you are sharing the image from Lightroom mobile to Instagram app and if its prompting for the password, then its may referring to a app lock password, which is setup on your mobile device.

Please explain your complete workflow.

Regards,

Mohit

I set up instagram on lightroom 6 with the correct instagram account/password and put images in the LR/instagram folder. I then hit publish and I get a yellow caution sign behind the light room logo and it reads “login_required”

that is as far as I have gotten. what am I doing wrong?

Are you using some sort of plug-in?

My understanding is that Instagram does it's best to make sure that only images from phones get posted, not images from computer based editing software.
