Lightroom brushes not saving settings when using brush for 2nd time

It seems something has changed again in the new 12.4 version of Lightroom cc desktop regarding brushes. Last version when you used the brushes it would load the last brush that you used. Ex. Load the skin smoothing brish if that's what you and used last. Now it's not doing that. It's loading some other brush, so each time you have to reselect the same brish you and just been using. If you tend to use the same brushes often, that just seems unnecessary. This might or might not be a bug since there's no reason this shouldn't work like it used to (new brush, new mask, etc should be loading the last brush you used to save time)
