Question

Lightroom catalog can't access my pictures on my Mac.

I have smart collection set up in lightroom but I can't edit the pictures on file anymore. Lightroom collection sets seem to have lost their connection with the files on my computer Mac OS. Is there a way I can relink the files with my smart collections in lightroom?

I am using Lightroom 5.5 and I tried " upload from another catalog" but I can't select any pictures. Is there another way to relink the files?

Thanks for your help!

Are there exclamation point icons on your photos, or question mark icons on the folders?

What do you see that indicates "Lightroom collection sets seem to have lost their connection with the files on my computer Mac OS"?? If there is an error message, please quote the exact complete unedited word-for-word error message.

After I try to edit the picture on my catalog I get a message "photo not found" even though the pictures are saved on my computer hard drive. Thanks

So Lightroom does not know any more where the photos are located. You have to tell Lightroom where the photos are. The method to tell Lightroom where the photos are located are explained in detail with screen captures in this document: Adobe Lightroom - Find moved or missing files and folders
